General Board Meeting Minutes

January 27th, 2010

Hello AAA-ers!

We want to thank everyone who came out to our general board meeting! We hope you had a lot of fun as we tried to understand each other through a game of telephone charades - funny how gestures can be radically changed! - and then settled down as we shared what item we would bring if we were deserted on an island. Our goal is to welcome you into AAA so if you have an activity that you want to do, an aspect of Asian culture that you want to learn about or general suggestions feel free to talk to any of the comm or board or email us at tcnjaaa@gmail.com

Anyway, since we're back you know what comes next - minutes!

Mystique Acts: There are still acts open if you want to join them! Dragon Dance, Filipino Bench Dancing and Fashion Show in particular need more people so if you are interested please email mystique@tcnjaaa.org and they can direct you to the act leaders! Dragon Dance needs two people. Filipino bench dance needs two boys and a pair (one boy, one girl) and the fashion show needs as many people as possible so sign up!

Hot Pot Night: Food, friends, fun - food! We are tentatively having a hot pot night on February 27th at the apartments. Details are still in the works but keep this activity in mind especially if you never had a hot pot before!

Blood Drive: Last, there will be a blood drive this Thursday, January 28th from 11am to 5 pm in BSC 202E! It's for a good cause - donating blood can save up to 3 lives. Also, for every blood donation this week, $1 will be given to UNICEF's Haiti relief funds! You can drop by or register and schedule an appointment online.

If you're not able to give blood, or if you have the time and would still like to contribute to the blood drive, you can volunteer and help give snacks and refreshments to the donors after they've given blood.

That's all for minutes! Thank you for coming to this week's general board meeting. We hope you had fun! We'll see you next week!
